The principal aim for High School at the Peterson Schools is to promote methodical and rigorous thought in our students as well as the skills they will need to adopt ethical attitudes in the application of knowledge. Our students also acquire the knowledge they will need to continue their studies at college.
It is known as one of the best bilingual schools in Mexico and is incorporated with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB).
It is recognized by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and is a member of the Association of American Schools in Mexico (ASOMEX) and the Instituciones de Enseñanza Particular de la República Mexicana (IEPRM) that count among its members the most prestigious schools in the country.
Classes in High School level are imparted in English and Spanish almost equally to ensure our students can communicate and understand in both languages. The school staff is international, and are all considered language teachers. Therefore, all of our students are bilingual. The Peterson Schools promote pride in the culture and country of origin of our students within the context of understanding and respect.
The school's teaching staff includes Mexican and foreign teachers who undergo ongoing training to meet and exceed our educational standards. This is reflected in the results the school has obtained in external international exams such as the College Board, where the Peterson Schools scored very high scores in English in Mexico, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and of course the IB Diploma Programme.
