Welcome to different time periods in history! Our Middle School- and High School students traveled back in time the last couple of days, which means that our Cuajimalpa campus transformed into three different types of historical conflicts and partnerships.
This Social Studies Fair was held to teach our students about French Absolutism of the 17th and 18th centuries, the Francoist dictatorship of the 20th century, and the Maximato and Cardenismo of the 20th century. Every floor of our Cuajimalpa building was decorated as a different time-period setting with a gallery and many infographics. Besides observing and learning from these beautiful galleries, our students also participated in several workshops, such as a theatrical performance, a French Baroque conference, dances, storytelling, poetry, and a logo contest.
Our students experienced three amazing and educational days over which they learned by doing. Historical facts may feel very abstract, but we are confident that studying them through this Social Studies Fair enabled our students to develop a better understanding of the world we live in and a much greater appreciation for current events today.
