2030 Strategic Plan

Members of our community have been involved since late 2020 in the creation and implementation of the Peterson 2030 Strategic Plan which aims to fortify Peterson’s position as an innovative leader within the international education sector, as well as to continue to foster a community that inspires passion for learning and life. We would like to share with you a brief summary of the Phase 1 of the 2030 Strategic Plan that includes four -out of 12- initiatives:

Goal 1. Life Skills

The skills that students require when they graduate are evolving more quickly than ever. There is now less focus on acquiring knowledge but rather on developing transferable skills such as flexibility, emotional intelligence, resilience, and conflict resolution. By implementing activities that encourage students to develop life skills across all sections of the schools, our students will be known and valued for being well-rounded individuals, who are academically, emotionally, and socially strong and can effectively manage the demands and challenges of everyday life.

Goal 2- Upper School Modular Curriculum

When a student is in control of their learning, their intrinsic motivation to succeed pushes them to transcend their own perceived limits. We implemented the IGCSE program in High School this year to give students a choice. Now, by creating a more modular curriculum in Middle School as well, students will begin to have more choices earlier on and specialize in areas that are suited to their interests and passions.

Goal 3- Virtual Learning

We recognize that the virtual skills our community developed during the pandemic are becoming increasingly more crucial as more universities and companies strive to build a new balance between in-person and virtual scenarios in our post-pandemic world. By creating two parallel programs, we aim to continue the innovation developed during the pandemic. “Virtual Days” will aim to support students' technological, autonomy, and organizational skills.

Goal 4-  Data, Tech, and Learning Trends

Learning needs and trends are constantly evolving. The creation of a Data X team will allow Peterson to reinforce their competitive advantage in the local and international educational markets by constantly investigating new trends to improve the student experience.
The changes will not be instantaneous but we are confident that we will reach our objectives since it is our students and their well-being that motivate the Peterson Schools to be an empowered, self-directed, personalized educational environment.
