The Peterson Schools offer a high-quality, innovative curriculum based on competencies. The curriculum promotes collaborative and creative academic activities supported by cutting-edge technology. These motivate students to apply what they have learned to real-world situations, thus promoting learning for life.
The competencies achieved represent a dynamic combination of knowledge, understanding and abilities.
Close collaboration between home and school is key to our students’ success.
In a competencies-based curriculum, students are evaluated at every stage of the learning process. Students are evaluated through projects, competencies and public presentations.
The curriculum is composed of six formative fields: 1) personal and social development, 2) language and communication, 3) mathematical thought, 4) knowledge and exploration of the world, 5) artistic expression and appreciation, and 6) physical development and health.
In Preschool, the curriculum is based on the Montessori Method. In Primary, the curriculum is strengthened by a large variety of activities that promote critical thought, problem solving and multiple intelligence and emotional intelligence methodologies. The Upper School curriculum is based on the requirements set by UNAM (Cuajimalpa campus), SEP (Tlalpan campus) and the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Bilingual Education
English immersion is used in Preschool to ensure our students have a strong start in their second language. In Primary and Upper School, approximately half of our classes are taught in English and half in Spanish to ensure that our students dominate both languages.
After several years of study at The Peterson Schools, our students from abroad return to their home countries with a thorough knowledge of English and Spanish. The Peterson Schools maintain exchange programs in the United States, Canada and France.
At The Peterson Schools we believe all children are born with natural curiosity and a desire to learn. We have created a warm and friendly atmosphere where our students can develop their natural talents and develop a strong sense of self-esteem. The main focus of our academic programs is to help create successful and happy adults by encouraging the full development of our students' abilities, skills and knowledge.
